Program Overview

Workplaces play a key role in accelerating electric vehicle (EV) adoption—especially for employees who live in multi-family housing or lack access to home charging. By providing convenient charging and promoting sustainable commuting, employers can help drive the transition to cleaner, more equitable transportation.

The Electric Vehicle Adoption Leadership (EVAL) program recognizes organizations that are making an impact by expanding access to EV charging and advancing clean mobility. This program provides employers with tools, resources, and expert guidance to support electric vehicle workplace electrification.

What is EVAL?

EVAL is a U.S. Department of Energy–supported certification program that celebrates employers and organizations committed to supporting EV adoption through workplace charging and other clean transportation initiatives.

Through a simple self-assessment, organizations can earn certification points for offering EV charging access, encouraging sustainable commute options like public transit, carpooling, and biking, and providing education or incentives around clean transportation.
